If you have the 1.1 version of the Ava strap and you are a very active sleeper, it is possible that your Ava occasionally falls off during the night.

Ava needs to be worn for at least 4 hours, with a minimum of three hours of sleep. If you notice that Ava fell off in the middle of the night, you can usually just put it back on without any impact on your data.

Here are some tips to make sure your Ava doesn't fall off:
  1. You can purchase strap 1.2 strap on our website for $39.95. The 1.2 strap uses a watch-style closure and is very secure even for active sleepers.
  2. If you prefer to keep the 1.1 strap, it helps to push a little harder to make sure the grey teeth "click" all the way through the holes when you fasten it.
  3. You can also try wearing the Ava sensor pod on its own (gently pop it out from the ring) beneath a tennis sweat band. Our data science team tested this and confirmed that the data is the same as if you wore it with the strap.
