If you find that your Ava is getting hot while wearing (on your wrist), please remove the device and discontinue use immediately. If you find that the device is getting hot while charging, please unplug the device from power.
In both cases, please contact Customer Support. Do not continue use or charging if the device is hot.
The heating of the device may be related to the adapter or power bank that you're using. Devices such as power banks and portable chargers can deliver too much power, causing your Ava to feel hot to the touch. The overheating condition can lead to a potential malfunction of the Ava.
- We recommend using your Ava USB cable and plugging into a USB port on a laptop or desktop. Laptops and desktops have a built-in mechanism that prevents devices that are plugged into the USB ports from overheating.
If the recommended charging method is not available, please consider the following items when selecting a charger:
- The charger should have an output voltage of 5V DC (direct current), a maximum output current of 1 Amp and it needs to be certified by a recognized testing laboratory.
- Fast chargers, wall sockets, and other chargers which have a higher output than 5V DC (direct current) must not be used.
